The last year of university is very important for students, because it is a time to make fundamental options: “How do I want to live?”, “Which way should I go?”, “What is God’s will for me and how should I carry it out?” These were some of the questions that three final year students, Jin-Young, Su-Kyung and He-Ji, expressed, which is why we suggested that they all take part in the Discovery program.
Discovery is a process designed for young people to help them discover where God is calling them within their journey of faith, work and relationships and in what direction. This is the second time we have carried out this program in Korea.
We began in April 2019 and finished in December of the same year. We met in our house, twice a month, and addressed different themes related to the experience of faith and vocation. We had short talks on these topics, a time of prayer and the opportunity to share our reflections and experiences. Having concluded this year’s program, we can say that one of its fruits has been to strengthen our relationship with God. He is the real owner of our lives and the one who will show each of us the way to go.
We invited Hejung and Ara, two girls who participated in the previous year’s Discovery program to take part in our last meeting. It confirmed the fact that this kind of program of searching together for God’s will for us is both important and necessary for the youth.
