Easter Sunday is a day of deep joy. The women and the disciples approached the empty tomb and found that Christ was no longer there. He had risen! Life was stronger than death, love stronger than hatred, forgiveness stronger than resentment, good stronger than evil, and therefore, joy stronger than sadness.
We are going through a very difficult situation worldwide. There is so much death all around us; but there are also buds of life and signs of love, solidarity, union, and hope. What does the Resurrection of Christ tell us? That life, love and unity will reach every person, situation and nation.
There will be comfort for this pain I`m going through. This problem will be solved eventually. There will be peace for the countries at war. Forgiveness will heal broken relationships. Where there is injustice now there will be justice in the future. The moment will come when I`m reunited with my loved ones in heaven. This is our faith. It is the certainty we have. God’s life is at work and one day it will be fully revealed. Now we can only see small signs of that Resurrection, but there will come a day when we will see its full impact on every person and situation.
Let us be witnesses and bearers of this good and great news for our world!
